AS MUCH AS I LOVE STRIKE FREEDOM, AWW MANN IM GONNA HATE MY SELF  i have to admit it will have to be destiny cuz hes well balanced and SF is only good at long range, so when destiny gets close he has the upper hand.... BUT when freedom gets out range he could win BUT destiny iz to fast so it can catch up to him and Destiny will have dinner.... |

well if you were to watch destiny and freedom's short lasted battles, it always ends up freedom winning(kinda), but not either one really,truly wins, just that freedom still has weapons to fight with that is all |

that pic kinda shows SF with wings of light! Anyway strike freedom will kick destiny's back skirt no problem. Strike freedom got dragoons on long range + rifles + cannons then sabers on close range + the cannon on its stomach. |

Despite the fact that this is (very awesome) fanart, Strike Freedom has Wings of Light, or rather, Voiture Lumiere, by official canon. Then again, Bandai/Sunrise wasn't sure about themselves since when SF first used his Full Burst Mode in Phase-39 of GSD, it didn't have it. It had in every episode after that and they fixed it for the DVD version of said episode. However, unlike either Stargazer or Destiny, the Wings of Light on Strike Freedom seem to be just for show since it doesn't really do anything fancy (except almost ripping apart the suit from the speed it creates if it wasn't for Variable Phase Shift armor, and given Kira's loss of skill after getting the Freedom, he doesn't even use the speed to dodge stuff like Shinn). destiny has a good speed advantage though,as you see it can dodge all dragoons at once and when s. freedom does it's hi mat/FBM,it has to stay in one place,and it's a long range gundam only.i'd have to say take away all the guns and stuff and kira's left with 2 beams,while shinn has wings of light(speed increase),beam bommerangs(which also double as sabers) and an anti ship sword.Destiny would slaughter strike freedom anyday |

Well keeping the pilots themselves (and my biases towards those pilots), my vote is definitely for the Destiny. I feel that it is more well armed for multiple types of combat, while SF excels in range; Destiny, while better suited in close combat, still fairs extremely well in ranged combat, and with WoL, its speed is also superb. |

unlike shinn,athrun can't use his seed mode at will after meeting certain conditions,which is why he wasn't that much of an ace. i also think the impulse still would've won even without reys info.As for pilots and suits, Shinns suit was tailored for all types of combat and to unlock shinn and the destiny's unlimited potential.strike freedom on the other hand was made for kira's ultimate coordinator powers,so there was no room for improvement.the destiny would still win though,if it weren't for crappy writing and plot armor.trust me,i'm trying not to be biased,as the sf does excel in long range combat,but the destiny also has all range.like when sf goes FBM,it can't(or doesn't) move,allowing the destiny to avoid the dragoons and the other 5 beams and come in for one crazy attack |

I'm Gonna Have to go with SF for well Kira seed beats shins and The dragoons give him a big advantage but i'm not counting out the destiny yet it can win if it goes to close range combat its sowrd is longer than Sf Beam Saber |

Strike Freedom doesn't have plot armor, Kira has the plot armor and carries it with him it wherever he goes (but it only lasts for a limited time, which is why the strike and the freedom got raped, warranty ran out). |

Did everyone forget that the anti-ship sword is nothing to strike freedom? I mean kira and the strike freedom caught the thing and ended up blasting shin at close range, not to mention kira kicks shinn a lot when destiny gets close, also that s. freedom can fight close range with the dragoons and beam sabers which can combine two sided. |

I call bullS*** on Destiny being faster than the Strike Freedom. Just thinking about it. There's a reason why the Destiny can create After-Images. It's so that it makes up for it's lack of speed. |
