Thanks Jamie. Unlike MG Gundams, these kits really need to be painted to look their best. After seeing your recent paint work, I would imagine you could make these model look truely fantastic.

I know you have an epic build on your hands with the GP01, will you build one of your SRW kits as your next project?

yes Tc I plan to build 2 of the SRW kits after this PG im doing. It still might be 2 more weeks though and what sucks is that Im still working at least an hour everyday doing something with the pieces and it seems like Im getting no where. There is just so much with this one.

Thank you Sir for the complement, this actually took about a month to complete, but to qualify that I was only working on it for an hour or two each evening after work.

The detail painting can be very tedious so I just did a little piece each day. I enjoyed doing it and plan to put the same effort into my next AC model build.

that looks just fantastic, i love all the detail work you put into it. A month of work seems well worth it for those results.

I see your using Games Workshop paint, whats your over all opion on that brand of paint? The first time i seen it was on prime92's vid but ive been seeing it a lot as of late. Until i seen your AC ive never really be a fan of the end result of the paint it seems like it has a odd texture or something about it that i never really liked .

Again really awesome job on that kit its like a work of art.

I really like the Citadel range of paint, they are easy to work with, pretty cheap to buy, come in a fantastic range of colors, dry very quickly and because they are acrylic they are easy to thin and clean.

The down side is you really have to use a protective coat over the paint to avoid scrapes and damage to the finish.

Thanks for you kind complement :$ , I'm hoping to do another AC WIP at the start of the summer.

My plan is to build the Omer TYPE-LAHIRE Stasis which I'm currently waiting to receive from HLJ:

The panel lines are actually painted onto the model. They were achieved using Citadels Mithril Silver paint and a very fine 0000 paintbrush (lol, and some patience).

Hope you enjoyed building the Unsung, was it your first AC model?

I've got the original White Glint last year but haven't started it yet. I need to perfect my weathering skills before building that awesome model (I'm going to use the D-Style Glint for practice).

Wow. u painted the panel lines? lol ur crazy. uhm yah it was my first AC kit. Different from Gundam ones. =\

I ddint get to paint my unsung. But i plan on weathering it with my White Glint. right now im trying to get the hands to work with me, it seems his right arm wont hold the weapons so i dont know what im gonna do cuz i dont wanna glue it shut cuz then the weapon would be stuk in there =.='

And about the backskirt, I reviewed over the manual over and over but I cant seem to find the instruction on how to make the backskirt. And theres another weapon, but i managed to put that together...

oh btw, whats that model in ur avatar.

My unsung took about a month to complete. The detailing takes a lot of time but its is worth the effort in the end.

I've had to glue some pieces of the Unsung to including the right hand weapon. Unfortunately some AC kits do need certain parts to be glued.

There is actually no backskirt for the Unsung, the pieces you have left on the runner are for another kit (the Aaliyah).

BTW your right about the other weapon, there are enough pieces left over on the Unsung sprues to construct one of the Aaliyahs weapons (this isn't shown in the manual!!). For anyone who may get the Unsung in the future, I've posted a scan from the Aallyahs instruction manual which shows how to build it (No. 37).

Unfortunately there are a couple of pieces missing so you wont be able to attach the backskirt without using glue.

Yeah I have a big question, do the release Armored core model kits regularly?
XCan you interchange their parts like the early kotbukiya AC units.
Lastly... where did you get it?

Nice paint job and I like how it's coming along.
My heartbeat stumbles and my backbone crumbles, I feel, is it real,as the lynch mob double. They want blood and they'll kill for, drain me and they'll kneel for it, Burn me at the stake, met the devil, made the deal for it. Guillotine dreams, yeah, their guillotine gleams. The blood of their enemies, watching while they sentence me. Sentencing ceased, sentence deceased, and watch them bask in the glory of their holy disease.

There isn't a defined release schedule for AC models but typically one is release every few months. We have a dedicated "Who collects Armored Core" thread which is regularly updated with all new release information.

You can interchange the parts and with enough kits you can create a custom mech.

I got this from HLJ last November. I have a lot of these kits and have got them from several sources but HLJ and Hobbysearch are always a good starting point if you are looking for a particular kit.

I've actually finished the model a few months ago, I've a review of the kit on my youtube channel if you want to see some more of the model.

Alrighty thanks. Yeah I used to be a big fan of armored core. It's good to see the series is running strong, even after it switched hands. For some reason the new Mechs look even mroe stuinning and beautiful... but gameplay wise it needs reformulated.

Yeah I think I'll have a look for some nice cores that meet my.... new standard or favorite mech styles.

Thanks for your kind complements Kamm :$ . I enjoyed building this kit and really took my time with the detailing (which can be very tedious at times).

I'm building a MG at the moment (which will be a surprise :P ) and will post some WIP when its almost finished.

I'll do a full WIP on the Armored Core Stasis when I finish my current master grade.

You deserve every compliment you get TC, seriously really awsome job. Shame the camera doesnt show off the details as you mentioned before... Its a peice you really can only admire in person !

I look forward to seeing anything you put together, honestly very inspiring! As a quick question, how long did it take you to finish this model ?

Oh and which do you prefer, Gundam or AC ? ;)

Hmm that question seems abit open... Which do you prefer to paint!

Take care,

This model took about a month to complete. The kit itself can be snapped together in about 10 hours but the detail painting is very time consuming.

I'm a huge Armored Core fan and have almost all of the kits released, they have incredible detail and are really interesting looking mechs. They are however a completely different build experience to a gundam and aren't really comparable to either a HG or a MG.

It's hard to pick between AC and Gundam but I think I prefer Gunpla simply because of the innovation Bandai present in their kits.

Its a big kit and is taller and broader that my MG RX78-2. In the picture below I haven't extended the Unsungs legs to their full height but you can hopefully get an impression of its size.

Armored Core kits are 1/72 scale.

It's a great model but can be a bit unstable, its very different to a master grade.

I'd be really interested to hear more about the Five Star Stories kits. I love their design and have been tempted on several occasions to get one.
